Insufficient ecological compatibility can take textile products off the market. An assessment of the ecological properties of a textile chemical should also consider the following aspects:
- energy consumption during production
- number of production cycles
- generation of waste/emissions
- water consumption during production

We integrate these elements in our product development and want to set new benchmarks for customers and consumer

Cost pressure
The performance criteria of technical textiles are mostly predetermined. The production costs can vary for different producers and they depend on the raw materials and the processing cost. But raw materials and processing cost are closely connected and only simultaneous improvement of both aspects can lead to significant saving potential. This approach requires step change innovation which becomes important when partial optimization options cease to give sufficient results.

Performance standards
Technical textiles have to meet specific performance standards. Normally national, European and segment specific standards have to be considered. But also new performance tests for technical textiles arise. Based on EU initiatives and changes in the consumer behaviour the safety standards become modified.
In cooperation with customers the relevant test need to be passed to enable the launch of new technical textiles..
